HOANG is part of my experimental series “101 Ways I See You”
This mask (meant to be hung on the wall, not worn) was born of royalty, with a little gold colored adornment. It is both raw and glossy and smooth and textured. Made from high fire stoneware. It was bisque fires once and then glazed and fired again. It was finished with gold and black acrylic paint. Two hooks and a wire are attached to the back for hanging.
