This piece is part of the "101 WAYS I SEE YOU" series of ceramic masks. This one did not emerge with a big bang. Instead they were a slow burn, a slow development of movement, texture and color. Made with high fire stoneware, acrylic paint and clear nail polish, flames surfaced on the piece before the warrior markings were carved during the leather hard stage. After firing, acrylic paints and stains were used to create bright colors and the story of struggle.
